Annual trip to Mr. Pepper's Pumpkin Patch

Following tradition.....we took Dabria to Mr. Pepper's Pumpkin Patch to pick out a pumpkin ( and as always, was a great photo op for Mom!) She had a great time and was really great about posing for all the pictures! We picked out a couple of pumpkins, and I promised her we would paint faces on them. See ya again next year, Mr. Pepper!

Go Red Sox!! September 23, 2005

As anyone who knows us will already know....we are HUGE Red Sox fans! We always go to a couple of games each season (usually when they play the Orioles in Baltimore.) Friday night's game was awesome! We won 6-3 and you would have thought we were at Fenway! Red Sox Fans outnumbered O's fans at least 2 to 1. We had a blast taunting the O's fans, and thankfully the Sox pulled out a win! They also won Saturday 4-3, and...so far, are winning today. Lookes like a clean sweep! We took Darah and Hobie to the game too, and as we were leaving Camden Yards, we were waiting to cross the street, and Curt Schilling was stopped in a Jeep Cherokee in traffic right in front of us! So, I asked if I could take his picture....he said "Ya, just don't break your camera!" What a very cool, exciting experience! After all...HE is a major reason for the World Series victory last year!

Dabria's First Gymnastics Class...

Today was Dabria's first gymnastics class! She is not the most coordinated little girl, so I was anxious to see how she would do. The class was very small...only about 5 kids total. Dabria was very apprehensive when it came to anything having to do with height. She crawled along the balance beam, but she did manage to do some forward and backward rolls. She wanted to do everything by herself, and didn't want to stay with the class and follow the teacher and group. I was a little concerned because her first try at preschool didn't go so well...she is very shy around new people. For those of us who know her so well, I know it is hard to believe! So, overall, she did pretty good, and is excited to go back next week, which is a very good thing! She would much rather be in Emma's class, but I think it will be good for her to meet some new friends of her own! I am hoping she stays with the group a little more each week, but her first week turned out pretty good in my opinion. Now, let's just keep our fingers crossed that she continues to like it! October3, Weeks 2 and 3 showed much improvement, and she gets so excited to go to class. She now walks on the balance beam and even swings on the rings! I think it is really a confidence booster for her ...and I just can't believe the progress in just a few short weeks! She stays with her class and listens to her instructor, which is a big step up from week 1....I am so proud of her, and hope that her progress continues! Way to go Dabria!
